#HungerFreeSNV – Volunteering at Three Square!

This post is a bit different from our others because it features the AVG team! In early February, we stepped out of AVG headquarters for part of the day to volunteer at ​Three Square​. Our team, along with many other volunteers worked in the Kids Cafe, making meals for children who are food insecure and hungry in our Las Vegas, NV community.

Three Square is Southern Nevada’s only food bank providing assistance to the residents of Lincoln, Nye, Esmeralda and Clark Counties. Their mission is to “provide wholesome food to hungry people, while passionately pursuing a hunger-free community.” They combine food banking, food rescue, and ready-to-eat meals together to be the most complete food solution for Southern Nevada. In 2018, Three Square distributed more than 39 million meals. It is such an incredible organization!

In a four hour span of time, our team and 100+ volunteers managed to pack 15,857 Kids Cafe meals. Music was blasting and smiles and laughter were all around. The AV Gear team found the experience to be fun and rewarding and will be going back to Three Square very soon!
