Wohler AMP2-E8MDA Multi-Format Audio Monitor (1371-21-2)

Description

The AMP2-E8MDA Multi-Format Audio Monitor from Wohler is designed to manage SD/HD-SDI, AES/EBU, Dolby D, AC-3, and analog signals. The unit will manage up to (8) channels of audio. It also includes (8) 53-segment high-resolution level meters, a status LCD, mix/sum capacity, and high-fidelity speakers.

Input presets may be configured and easily recalled by the user. The LCD panel displays user settings and status, such as the type of signal, channel selection, mute status, and phase/correlation. Its acoustic design provides optimally focused sound in an Ultra Near Field (1 to 3′) environment, which allows higher SPL for the operator while reducing overall ambient sound and adjacent bay crosstalk.

Its amplifier section features (5) transducers driven by (3) amplifiers. Midrange and high frequencies are managed in stereo by (2) amplifier/driver combinations. The third channel reproduces information below the 500Hz crossover point, acting as a woofer. Output-limit circuits protect the speakers, as does magnetic shielding that allows you to place the unit near sensitive equipment such as video monitors without worries.
