UltraStudio is perfect for use with routers because they include support for video, multi channel audio, timecode and close caption data all down the single SDI cable. This saves costs on installing multiple routers because a single SDI router can handle all of the signal types. UltraStudio supports built in down conversion so you can send feeds to systems that run separate SD and HD routers. The multi rate SDI connections also support newer router designs such as Blackmagic Design's Videohub range that allows multiple video formats on the same router at the same time.
